You have an inquisitive mind and an analytical soul. When it comes to sales, or site traffic, or click-thru, you consistently scrutinize the business results to ask why a particular outcome happened, and what could be done to improve upon it. You've spent the past few years getting your feet wet, probably as an interactive project manager, a marketing manager, account executive or information architect. Now that you've learned the ins and outs of content on the Web, you're ready to take a more hands-on approach to ownership of the projects you're working on. You can think big picture -- an entrepreneur at heart -- and you thrive on the problem solving and decision-making needed to take a product from start to finish.
Nitty Gritty:
There's no beating around the bush here -- you're going to be working hard. The role involves a lot of documentation, preparing presentations and sales tools, and working with your team and managers on design issues throughout the development process. You'll learn to identify and evaluate new product opportunities and assist in the preparation and implementation of product marketing materials.
