Gilt Groupe is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to develop strategic partnerships and targeted programs to drive acquisition of highly qualified customers for the gilt.com brand.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Director of Business Development will develop programs such as:

• Creation and launch of an “Associates Program†to recruit high value Gilt customers who are effectively operating as personal shoppers and home decorators
• Creation and launch of an “Affiliate Referral Program†to encourage independent websites to aggregate and pass on referrals to gilt.com
• Developing co-marketing agreements with consumer companies (e.g. credit cards) to introduce Gilt to targeted segments of their member base in exchange for exclusive offers and services to their base
• Creating marketing partnerships with key on-line media sites who have reach and influence in the worlds of fashion, services, music, dining and other lifestyle categories.

Qualifications:

• Experience at developing strategic alliances from the ground up (including development of the concept, business process, technology and contracts).
• Excellent influencing skills to align internal stakeholders and motivate potential partners
• Strategic orientation with an ability to create partnerships that have large impact, are scalable and drive competitive advantage
• Tenacious and resourceful problem solver who can create programs with limited technical and business resources. Can find creative solutions to keep projects on track.
• Strong results orientation. Able to quickly course correct and optimize initiatives.
• Strong bias for action and a get things done attitude.
• Negotiation and partnering skills to create win-win partnerships, align all stakeholders and ultimately build competitive advantage for Gilt.com
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong project management skills to ensure internal execution against launch plans
• Analytical. Able to quickly assess business opportunities and communicate and understand results.
• Track record of at least 5 years in partnership development, ideally in B2C ecommerce. (e.g. affiliate marketing
