The HR VP Role
Meebo is seeking a person who has experience with proactively and strategically scaling and architecting effective organizations. This person must have expertise in developing and coaching senior management and director level executives. Because Meebo is on a high growth trajectory, it is preferred that candidates be well networked, and have experience and contacts in the consumer internet or social media space. This person must be able to command respect and gain credibility with the CEO and senior management, and be responsive to employees at every level. This person must be able to develop strong peer relationships, and be a sought-after confidant and mentor. High integrity and trustworthiness are must haves. Experience in building and sustaining an effective culture through high growth is required.
This person must be able to create and implement a flexible HR infrastructure that can grow with the organization, without slowing the pace of growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide human resources leadership at the executive level.
- Create and oversee company recruitment and selection plan.
- Oversee the design and development of compensation strategy and programs.
- Direct the administration of benefit programs to include: health, retirement, death, disability, and unemployment.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit programs.
- Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Work to maintain and enhance company values and culture.
- Recommend and establish company policies and procedures.
- Work with senior management and directors to develop and deliver on business plans for the company.
- Institute development programs for senior and mid-level managers/directors
- Act as confidant and valued advisor for CEO and his direct reports
